Upward trend continues at Tattersalls Ireland Ascot as April Sale experiences increases across the Board
Top lot on the day was Lambertstown Stud’s Courtinthemiddle (Lot 69), a Court Cave five-year-old who was runner up on his debut at Kirkistown to the recent Bumper winner First Drift. Mr T Faulkner was the successful purchaser who saw out plenty of opposition for the gelding and secured him for £27,000.
Mares took the next two highest prices at the Ascot April Sale. Vulgans Watch, a winning Presenting mare from Laurel Park Stables was bought by trainer David Loder for £22,000 while Stuart Crawford’s Newlands Farm sold the King’s Theatre mare Undisputed, second on her latest start in a bumper for £21,000 to Noel Williams Racing.
Commenting on a successful renewal of the Ascot April Sale, Tattersalls Ireland Director of Horses in Training Richard Pugh said;
“All the sales held so far at Tattersalls Ireland Ascot have shown increases and today was no different. The Ascot April Sale was well supported again by vendors and the results reflected this with growth in all the key indicators including an 80% clearance rate. We now look forward to maintaining this upward trend at Ascot with the May Sale on Tuesday May 31st.”
