Twenty Two Wildcards Added To Tattersalls Ascot November Sale

A total of 22 wildcard entries have been added to the Tattersalls Ascot November Sale, which takes place on Thursday 3rd November. The catalogue now numbers 126 Lots and comprises 43 fillies/mares in/out of training, 62 colts/geldings in/out of training, one point-to-pointer, 14 store horses and six yearlings.

Wildcard entries include Lot 120 WEE WILLIE NAIL who will be offered by Gordon Elliott’s Cullentra House Stable, who brings a total of five Lots to the sale. The four-year-old son of YEATS is the winner of his latest start in a 16 runner Maiden Hurdle at Galway on the 30th of September.

Godolphin have further enhanced their draft with the addition of Lot 79A SABAH AL WARD. The daughter of SHOWCASING boasts an impressive pedigree, as the half-sister to the Listed winning PRIVATE MATTER, and whose grandam was the Group 1 Prix de Diane winner CONFIDENTIAL LADY.

The sale has been well supported with entries from Adam West Training Ltd., Cullentra House Stables, Clarehaven House Stables, East Everleigh Stables, Ed Dunlop Racing Ltd., Godolphin, Lodge Hill Stables, Middleham Park Racing, Overbury Stud, Park House Stables, Shade Oak Stud, West Ilsley Stables and WH Bloodstock.

Graduates of the Tattersalls Ascot sales have continued to excel under both codes in 2022. The John “Shark” Hanlon trained HALLOWED STAR, purchased for £7,000 from Godolphin in 2019, has gone on to win a Grade B Handicap Hurdle at Galway in July and more recently was a winner over fences.

Godolphin were also the consignor of HERSIGH, who was purchased by BBA Ireland at Tattersalls Ascot for £52,000 in 2017. Having subsequently been exported to Australia, she has gone on to produce the recent Group 3 Tesio Stakes winner MY WHISPER for her owner breeder Yulong Investments.

Tattersalls Live Internet Bidding will be available for those who are unable to attend the sale in person. Prospective purchasers are requested that they register with Tattersalls at least 48 hours prior to the start of sale.
