TATTERSALLS IRELAND ASCOT ANNOUNCES EXCITING CHANGES TO JULY AND AUGUST HORSES IN TRAINING SALES
Ascot Horses in Training Sales have gone from strength to strength in recent months with double-digit growth under the Tattersalls Ireland banner. The 2015 Ascot July and August Sales also saw significant rises across all key indicators and the proven dates and venue provide the perfect combination to showcase high quality British and Irish National Hunt prospects to a wide cross section of buyers. The Tattersalls Ireland Derby and August Sales will revert to their traditional formats, devoted exclusively to National Hunt store horses.
Tattersalls Ireland HIT Sales Director Richard Pugh commented;
“Recent Tattersalls Ireland Ascot Sales have shown that winning Irish Point to Pointers attract plenty of interest, and Irish vendors are sending quality four and five year old maiden winners to Ascot in increasing numbers. Gary Moore’s impressive winner KING COOL, sold at the Ascot December Sale only weeks after breaking his Point to Point maiden in Ireland, confirming the confidence in Ascot Sales from both purchasers and vendors. Alongside our market leading sales at Cheltenham, we are keen to develop Ascot as a widely recognised source of quality National Hunt performers, and diverting the Horses in Training from the Derby and August Sales will provide vendors with a wonderful opportunity to showcase high class horses to an abundance of purchasers at a perfect time of the year."
The Tattersalls Ireland Ascot July and August Sales will take place Tuesday 12th July and Tuesday 16th August respectively. The Tattersalls Ireland Derby Sale will take place June 22nd - 24th, and the Tattersalls Ireland August Sale on August 9th - 11th.
Later in the year, there will be date changes to the Tattersalls Ireland Ascot sales calendar to accommodate the newly launched Tattersalls Ireland November Breeding Stock and Foal Sale. The Tattersalls Ireland Ascot November Sale will now take place on Thursday 3rd November, with the new November Breeding Stock and Foal Sale taking place at Fairyhouse on Friday 4th November.
Commenting on the date changes, Tattersalls Ireland Managing Director Roger Casey said;
“The changes have been made following consultation with Goffs and reflect everyone’s desire to produce a sales calendar that works as well as possible for all participants."
