Tattersalls Ascot March Sale Catalogue Online

The initial entries for the Tattersalls Ascot March Sale, which takes place on Thursday March 31st, is now online. The catalogue currently numbers 102 Lots and comprises 22 Fillies/Mares In/Out of Training, 63 Colts/Geldings In/Out of Training, 11 Point-to-Pointers, 2 Two-Year-Olds and 4 Store horses.

 

 

The Tattersalls Ascot March Sale, the first to be staged at Ascot racecourse in 2022 has been well supported with entries from leading stables including Barbury Castle Stables, Bective Stud, Closutton Stables, Cullentra House, Godolphin, Kingsley Park, Lodge Hill Stables, Saxon Gate and Park House Stables.

 

 

Godolphin have nine Lots catalogued including the well-bred NIGHT OF THUNDER filly ANGEL’S THUNDER (Lot 59), an unraced close relation to the Oaks winner QUALIFY. 

 

 

The sale also features a dedicated session for UK and Irish Point-to-Pointers which so far includes 6 individual Maiden winners with further entries to be added as supplementary Lots up until the time of sale. Amongst these entries is VALEREUM BRIDGE (Lot 83), a five-year-old daughter of FAME AND GLORY who was an impressive winner of her point-to-point bumper at Great Trethew and is offered by Shannon Lodge Stables.

 

 

Entries of interest with National Hunt form include PETIT MOUCHOIR (Lot 125) the son of AL NAMIX boasts an impressive CV which includes a victory in the Irish Champion Hurdle. Gordon Elliott has a five strong draft which includes the placed bumper performer CURLEY FINGER (Lot 100). The son of GETAWAY was placed on his debut at Thurles. Emmet Mullins will offer recent Maiden Hurdle winner GENI DE LA COUR (Lot 123) and Dan Skelton's Lodge Hill Stables will offer the 4 time winning dual purpose performer LYDFORD (Lot 106).

 

 

Tattersalls Ascot graduates continue to perform with distinction under both codes, as demonstrated by the progressive CELTIC ART who has rewarded his connections handsomely since being purchased for £39,000 at the latest Ascot December Sale. Now under the care of trainer Jeremy Scott, the progressive gelding has won or been placed in all five starts since his acquisition, including winning a Class 2 Handicap at Lingfield on the All Weather, with earnings now in excess of £100,000.

 

 

WIN MY WINGS produced a career best performance when winning the latest renewal of the Eider Handicap Chase for her trainer Christian Williams. The mare looks set to contest big staying handicap chases for the remainder of the season, was a £9,250 purchased by MH Bloodstock at the Tattersalls Ascot December Sale, following her win of a Mares Point-to-Point at Lingstown for her handler Denis Moore.

 

 

Tattersalls Live Internet Bidding will be available for those who are unable to attend the sale in person. Prospective purchasers are requested that they register with Tattersalls at least 48 hours prior to the start of sale.

 

Further entries will be accepted up until Monday March 28th, subject to availability and will be published online with a printed catalogue available on the day of the sale.
