Improved Results at the Tattersalls Ireland Ascot December Sale

The top price at the last sale at Ascot for 2015 was the Darley offered mare Araajmh. The daughter of Street Cry was offered with a fashionable covering to Kodiac and was knocked down to JD Moore for £36,000.

Trainer Gary Moore was the successful purchaser of Lot 86, King Cool. Monbeg Stables, notable for producing top class young stock, consigned the son of King’s Theatre and he was knocked down for £20,000. King Cool was an impressive six length winner of a Four-Year-Old Maiden in early November.

Just two lots previous, Lot 84, the five-time winner Kinglami was purchased by Elton Racing and Pete Smith. They had to go to £19,000 to secure the son of Kingsala who was consigned by Earlwood Stud Farm, The Property of Brian Gubby. This is the end of an era for owner/trainer Brian Gubby as he is retiring in January 2016.

Today’s sale concludes the series of Ascot Sales for 2015 which saw Tattersalls Ireland at the helm for the final two sales of the year. Trade continues to improve at this iconic venue and Tattersalls Ireland look forward to building on this further in 2016 with the ongoing support of our loyal customers.

The next Tattersalls Ireland Ascot Sale will take place on Tuesday, February 23rd.
