Graded 1-2 for Ascot Sales Graduates

On Saturday at Sandown Park the Peter Bowen trained Lord Napier led home a 1-2 for Ascot Sales graduates in the Grade 3 Handicap Hurdle when getting the better of long time leader Coole Cody to record a nine-length success.

Lord Napier was purchased at the 2017 June Sale by Michael Bowen for £24,000 off John Ryan Racing. The runner-up Coole Cody took his career earnings over £50,000 with his gallant effort, he was purchased by Tom Malone for £5,200 at the 2017 Ascot July Sale after winning his Irish Maiden point-to-point.

At Kempton Ascot two-year-old Breeze Up graduate Double Legend opened his account for Amanda Perrett when taking the 1m 4f handicap on the card.  The son of Finsceal Fior was offered by Myles Sunderland’s Kilcorral House Stables.
