Group 2 Gimcrack win for Ascot Breeze-Up Sale graduate SANDS OF MALI

SANDS OF MALI impressed connections when convincingly winning the Group 2 Al Basti Equiworld Gimcrack Stakes at York on Saturday. The Richard Fahey trained colt lead throughout the race and extended away impressively to win the highly regarded contest for his owners The Cool Silk Partnership. Group 1 contests are now firmly in sights for this colt with the Middle Park or the Dewhurst as the next aim.

SANDS OF MALI hails from the highly reputable Bansha House Stables establishment, noted for producing top class horses. The son of Panis was purchased by Matt Coleman of Stroud Coleman Bloodstock at the most recent Ascot Breeze-Up Sale for £75,000.

The Tattersalls Ireland Ascot Yearling Sale takes place on Tuesday 12 September. Catalogues for this sale are now available and online at www.tattersalls.ie.
